The Lee Pro 1000 is a progressive reloading press set up here for 223 Remington, working on a 3-hole turret that only ever accepts this style of turret (it is not compatible with 4 or 5-hole heads). The kit includes the press itself, a PaceSetter 2-die set (a full-length sizer and a bullet seater/crimper), the 3-hole turret, a 4-shell plate, an Auto-Drum Powder Measure paired with a short charging die, a Rifle Case Feeder and a small priming system. Add a bullet and pull the lever: sizing, priming, powder charging, bullet seating and crimping all happen automatically, delivering one finished cartridge per stroke once the press is adjusted. Because 223 cases have a narrow neck, the charging die is designed to be paused briefly at the top of the stroke so the powder charge has time to settle through before the case moves on. The Pro 1000 is shown mounted to the Lee Reloading Stand, sold separately, for a secure bench set-up. As with other Lee progressive presses, only CCI or Remington brand primers are approved for safe use.
