Sierra SportsMaster .45 calibre (.4515 diameter) 230 grain jacketed hollow point bullets are reloading components, supplied 100 to a box — not loaded ammunition. Designed primarily for the .45 ACP cartridge, they carry Sierra's Power Jacket construction with serrated hollow point cavities that promote uniform, controlled expansion across a wide range of velocities, giving handloaders consistent weight retention and reliable energy transfer. The 230 grain weight also suits the .45 Auto Rim and .45 Colt, though reloaders working with older .45 Colt revolvers chambered for .454in bullets should check case and bore dimensions carefully before sizing. Loaded to their maximum practical velocities, these bullets are effective on large-bodied varmints and make a genuinely capable self-defence option, while remaining an all-round choice for general .45 ACP handloading. Sectional density is 0.161 and the G1 ballistic coefficient is 0.145.
