Sierra's Varminter range is built for one job: explosive, reliable expansion on varmint-sized quarry at high velocity. This .224 diameter, 40 grain hollow point flat base bullet is a lightly constructed reloading component designed to open up fast on impact while minimising ricochet risk, making it a popular choice for foxing and other varmint control where flatter trajectories and dramatic terminal performance matter more than deep penetration. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.155 and a sectional density of 0.114, it is built to be pushed hard and stay accurate at high velocities without falling apart in the barrel. The bullet is non-coated, has no cannelure, and is manufactured in the USA to Sierra's usual tight tolerances. Supplied in a box of 100, this is a component bullet only — it is not loaded ammunition and must be seated and loaded by the handloader using appropriate load data for their rifle and cartridge.
