The Hawke Frontier FFP 4–20x50 SF places its MOA Hunter reticle in the first focal plane, so holdover and wind marks read correctly at any magnification setting rather than only at a specific power. The reticle is calibrated at 20× and carries a fine 0.3 MOA centre dot, 32 MOA of holdover and 16 MOA of windage holds with thick outer posts for fast target acquisition in hunting conditions. Hawke's H7 optical system uses high-grade, low-dispersion Crown glass with 21-layer fully multi-coated lenses to produce a field of view of 9.4 m at 100 m on 4× and 1.9 m at full 20× power. Side focus parallax adjustment runs from 14 m to infinity. The patented Exposed Zero Lock 'n' Stop elevation turret provides 1/4 MOA click adjustments with push-pull locking and a firm zero stop, so the scope can be dialled to maximum elevation and tracked back to zero reliably; total elevation adjustment is 79 MOA across two full rotations. Eye relief is 102 mm across the magnification range. The 30 mm mono-tube chassis is nitrogen-purged for waterproof and shockproof performance, and the scope weighs 630 g at 336 mm long. It ships with a removable throw lever and metal flip-up lens covers.
