The Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 Plex is a second focal plane riflescope from Vortex's entry-level Crossfire II line, designed to outperform similarly priced optics on the market. It carries the V-Plex reticle, a simple, uncluttered duplex-style crosshair that's become a popular all-purpose choice for a wide range of UK hunting, from deer stalking to vermin control, where a clean, fast sight picture is more useful than graduated holdover marks. The 3-9x variable magnification and 40mm objective lens cover typical hunting ranges, and fully multi-coated lenses keep the image bright and clear in poor light. A single-piece aircraft-grade aluminium 1 inch tube is O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged for waterproof, fogproof protection, with shockproof construction to withstand recoil. Capped, resettable turrets adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks with 60 MOA of windage and elevation travel, and a fast-focus eyepiece allows quick reticle adjustment. Eye relief runs to 3.8 inches for safe use on recoiling rifles. At around 31cm long and 420g, it's a compact, dependable optic for general field use.
