The Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44 Plex is a variable-power riflescope from Vortex's entry-level Crossfire II line, designed to outperform similarly priced optics. It carries the V-Plex reticle, a simple, uncluttered duplex-style crosshair that's become a favourite all-purpose choice across a wide range of UK hunting applications, from deer to vermin control, where a fast, clear sight picture matters more than graduated holdover marks. The 4-12x variable magnification and 44mm objective lens give useful reach for longer shots, and fully multi-coated lenses keep the image bright and clear in poor light. A single-piece aircraft-grade aluminium 1 inch tube is O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged for waterproof, fogproof protection, with shockproof construction to withstand recoil. Capped, resettable turrets adjust in 1/4 MOA clicks with 50 MOA of windage and elevation travel, and a fast-focus eyepiece allows quick reticle adjustment. Eye relief runs to 3.9 inches for safe use on recoiling rifles. At around 34cm long and 442g, it's a dependable, no-fuss optic for general field use.
