The Jack Pyke Canvas Roe Sack in fawn is a traditional carrying bag built for the deer stalker who needs to bring a gralloched roe carcass off the hill. Made from heavy cotton canvas with leather straps and binding, it stays quiet against scrub and stands up to rough ground and wet weather. The roomy main compartment measures 60cm wide by 55cm high, giving roughly 40 to 50 litres of space, enough to take an average-sized roe deer once it has been prepared. A drawcord closure under a fold-over flap with buckle fastening keeps the load secure, while a wipe-clean lining lets you sluice out blood and debris after the carry rather than soaking it into the fabric. Two large front pockets, each closed with a buckle, hold a knife, gloves, drag rope and other stalking kit within easy reach. With its classic fawn finish and durable construction, it suits stalkers, gamekeepers and anyone moving game and gear across the stalking ground.
