The Härkila Forest Hunter Backpack is a 27-litre hunting rucksack built specifically for the active stalker, driven day gun or forest hunter who needs their kit organised, accessible and — critically — silent. Most rucksacks are designed for hillwalkers or outdoors generalists, where the occasional rustle of fabric or rattle of buckle is irrelevant. In hunting, it can cost you the animal. The Forest Hunter Backpack is constructed from a soft, noise-reducing material that moves quietly through woodland and against clothing without the swishing, rustling or crackling that synthetic fabrics on standard packs produce. At 27 litres the capacity is well-judged for a day in the field — large enough to carry all-day provisions, a packable layer, first aid, binoculars and fieldcraft essentials, without the bulk and weight penalty of a larger expedition pack. The spacious main compartment is accessed via a full-length zip for fast, unobstructed entry, and internal mesh pockets provide dedicated organisation for smaller items that would otherwise sink to the bottom and require rummaging. A waterproof bottom protects contents from damp ground during breaks, and a reversible rain cover stows neatly within the pack, deploying quickly when the weather closes in to keep everything inside dry during sustained downpours. MOLLE-system straps on the exterior open up extensive customisation for hunters who carry additional pouches, kit or accessories — a feature borrowed from military and tactical packs that is genuinely useful in the field for attaching knife sheaths, game bags, hydration bladders or additional storage. An emergency whistle buckle is integrated into the harness for safety in remote terrain, and the removable stiffener and hip belt allow the pack to be stripped back to a simple, lightweight rucksack configuration when the full frame is not required — for instance, when using it as a vehicle bag or overnight bag between outings.
