This Britannia Rails Picatinny base is designed specifically for the Ruger M77 in Hornet calibres, as well as the .357 and .38 calibre versions, giving these rifles a proper full-length mil-spec mounting rail for a scope. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished hard anodised, it's built to true Picatinny dimensions, and four captive washers pull the rail down onto the action for a secure, snag-free fit. At 149mm and 0 MOA — a flat base with no built-in elevation cant — it's sized and specified to suit the Ruger M77's shorter, lighter actions rather than being adapted from a longer-action rail. It's a straightforward, well-made way to get a scope, night vision unit or thermal optic mounted properly on a rifle that doesn't have many aftermarket rail options on the UK market, turning what is often an awkward action to fit optics to into a simple bolt-on job.
