The Britannia Rails Sako 75/85 Action I/Action XS Ultra Low rail is a one-piece 0 MOA Picatinny base built for Sako 75 Action I and Sako 85 Action XS short actions chambered in .222 Remington and .223 Remington. Unlike Britannia's standard rails, which sit over the factory Optilock bases, this Ultra Low version is an interference fit that clamps directly onto the dovetail of the action itself, with a rear grubscrew doubling as a recoil lug, doing away with Optilock bases altogether and keeping the lift to the action under 10mm. That lower profile brings the scope closer to the bore for a more compact, better-balanced rifle. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished in hard-anodised black, measures 155mm long, and is supplied with the Allen key needed for fitting. Tolerances on Sako dovetails vary, so the fit is snug by design and can need a firm tap to seat; once in place it converts the action to a full-length Picatinny rail, letting day scopes, night vision units and thermal clip-ons share the same repeatable zero. A neat, purpose-built way to run modern optics on a short-action Sako without adding unnecessary height.
