Britannia Rails' Sauer 202 Standard Action rail is a UK-made Picatinny scope base built to bolt straight onto the standard-length action of the Sauer 202, one of the most popular modular stalking rifles on the market. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished in hard anodising, it locks tightly onto the action so a riflescope sits securely with no play. It's supplied at 0 MOA, giving a level mounting plane across the Sauer 202 Standard calibre range, from .222 Rem up to 9.3x62. Fitting is straightforward: four 6-48 screws with a T15 hex bit are included, along with a dose of Vibra-Tite anti-vibration threadlock to stop them working loose under recoil. The two front screws sit in comparatively shallow holes in the action, so they should only be nipped up to around 10 in/lbs rather than fully torqued down - over-tightening risks stripping the threads and damaging the rifle. If you're not confident doing this yourself, get a qualified gunsmith to fit it. At 149mm long, it's a compact, purpose-built base for anyone re-scoping a Sauer 202 Standard Action.
