Britannia Rails' silver-finished Picatinny base is built for the Tikka T3, one of the most popular centrefire actions on the UK market and made in Finland. It shares the geometry of Britannia's standard black hard-anodised T3 0 MOA rail — 6061-T6 aluminium, machined to true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny spec at 156mm long — but is anodised in a silver finish for shooters who want the mount to match a stainless or nickel-finished action rather than disappear in black. It screws directly into the four holes already drilled and tapped into the T3 receiver, locking firmly onto the action with none of the sideways slide you get on a dovetail. Carrying 0 MOA, it adds no built-in elevation, making it the natural fit for standard-distance scope work rather than extreme long range. Fitting is with four 6-48 screws and a T15 hex bit, both supplied, and — as with every Britannia rail — it comes with a sachet of Vibra-Tite VC-3 anti-vibration threadlock so the fixing screws stay put under recoil.
