Britannia Rails' Universal Air Rifle Cantilever adaptor clamps onto a rifle's standard 11mm dovetail rail via two dovetail side claws and carries a 149mm true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail on top, converting a factory dovetail into a full Picatinny mounting platform. Because it's a cantilever design, the mounting position extends forward of the dovetail clamp, which helps set the correct eye relief for the scope, red dot or add-on unit you're fitting rather than being fixed to wherever the dovetail sits. This is particularly useful for night-vision and thermal add-on units, which almost always need a Picatinny interface and won't clamp directly onto a slim dovetail — this adaptor is the bridge between the two.
