Britannia Rails' Universal Picatinny Cantilever Adjustable Offset Rail converts an 11mm dovetail rifle to true mil-spec Picatinny in a single fitting, using four hex screws (a T15 bit is supplied) to clamp securely to the dovetail. The cantilevered rail is reversible, so it can be fitted extending forward or rearward, letting you move the mounting position to dial in the correct eye relief for the scope you're fitting — particularly useful with long-eye-relief or large-objective scopes, or when a night-vision or thermal clip-on needs to sit ahead of a day scope. The offset also helps clear the action or magazine on rifles where a standard, centrally-mounted rail would leave the optic too far back. It's made from T6 aluminium with a hard-anodised finish, CNC-machined in the UK, with a 148mm rail on a 56mm mounting base. Because it's a universal adapter rather than a rifle-specific rail, it's a practical way to add Picatinny compatibility, and some flexibility in scope position, to a rifle that currently only has 11mm dovetail grooves.
