Britannia Rails' Universal Reversible Extended Length Picatinny Rail, Rimfire, is designed to slide directly over an existing Weaver or Picatinny base or rail rather than replace it, so it fits without any gunsmith work. Six grub screws working across eight holes lift the rail up and pull it central, giving a sturdy, secure grip on the base beneath. Because the rail is reversible, it can be extended either forward or rearward, giving you the flexibility to fine-tune scope position for correct eye relief once it's fitted. It's made from 6082-T6 aluminium, chosen for its strength, corrosion resistance and low weight, and manufactured in the UK. This is the extended-length rimfire version of Britannia's Universal Reversible rail range, which also includes a centrefire equivalent and a standard-length option, and once mounted it accepts any standard Picatinny rings or mounts. It's a straightforward way to add a full length of Picatinny rail, plus some scope-position adjustment, to a rimfire rifle currently fitted with only Weaver or two-piece bases.
