The Warne Maxima 203M is a permanently attached (PA) scope ring set for 1 inch scope tubes, built to the extra high ring height and finished in matte black steel. Like the rest of the Maxima range it uses a vertically split ring design, made in the USA, with a square stainless steel recoil control key in both the front and rear ring to give a positive, no-slip grip across the full width of the base slot. This spreads recoil evenly, protects softer base materials from swaging or peening, and the wider ring band adds extra clamping surface to hold the scope securely under recoil. The 203M is designed to fit Warne, Weaver-style cross-slot and Mil-Spec Picatinny bases and rails, mounting around the scope with 4 Torx T-15 socket cap screws torqued to 25 in-lb. The extra high ring height is intended for scopes with a large objective bell, up to 56mm, where low or high rings would not clear the barrel or bolt handle. At around 193g per set, it is the tallest fixed option in the Maxima 1 inch range for bigger, bell-heavy scopes.
