The Primos Apex MagnaSwitch Head is a magnetic quick-detach mounting head built for the Primos Trigger Stick Apex Carbon Fiber Tripod, letting you lock a rifle onto a stable rest and lift it off again in a couple of seconds rather than fumbling with a v-yoke or clamp. A friction control ring gives a smooth 360-degree arc of fire with a wide range of elevation, depression and cant adjustment, so the head tracks cleanly once it is set on target. The magnetic connection comes from the included Classic Rifle Adapter (65907), a low-profile plate that fixes to the rifle's stock or forend and clicks onto the head with a genuine, secure hold rather than a loose friction fit. Because the mount is magnetic rather than mechanical, the same head will also carry a spotting scope or camera if you fit the matching adapter, both sold separately by Primos. For anyone who spends long spells glassing before a shot - stalking, vermin control, or from a static high seat - being able to swap a rifle for optics on the same rest without disturbing the tripod's position is the real advantage over a fixed yoke. The head is sold on its own; it needs a Primos Apex Tripod to mount to.
