Lyalvale Express's Super Light Steel is a 12 bore cartridge loaded with 16 grams of steel shot in size 7.5 - an LFA (Lead Free Alternative) load for shooters moving away from lead. It's built on Express's Green Core wad, a fully biodegradable and compostable cup wad that holds the shot column together down the barrel before releasing cleanly at the muzzle. The light 16g charge combined with steel shot gives noticeably low recoil, which Lyalvale Express markets as well suited to side-by-side guns and to younger or recoil-sensitive shooters. Cartridges have a 65mm case and a 65mm minimum chamber requirement, and are supplied in boxes of 25, with case quantities of 250, 500 and 1000 also available for regular clay or rough shooting use. As with any steel-shot cartridge, always check that your gun and choke are rated for steel shot before firing.
