The Gehmann 391-30N is a clip-on eyeshield for target shooters, designed to match Gehmann's 390 clip-on iris and used to blank off the non-aiming eye while keeping it open to light, which helps the dominant eye hold focus without strain. It clips directly onto shooting glasses or a shooting frame using a spring-loaded rubber clamp, so it can be fitted and removed in seconds, and it flips up out of the way whenever normal binocular vision is needed between shots. Because the clamp simply grips the arm of the glasses, the eyeshield suits right- or left-handed shooters equally and can be swapped between eyes as required. The 391-30N is finished in translucent white and is I.S.S.F. 30mm compliant, making it suitable for use in sanctioned rifle and pistol competition; a black version, the 391S-30N, is also available to the same 30mm ISSF specification for shooters who prefer full blackout of the covered eye.
