The BushWear Medium Chest Spreader is a compact stainless steel tool designed specifically for field dressing and larder work on UK deer species. Measuring 17.5 cm end-to-end with an inner V2V spread of approximately 11.5 cm, it is ideally sized for small to medium deer such as roe or Muntjac. The bar is strengthened with a twist along its length, giving it ample rigidity to hold the ribcage open while you work — improving access, visibility and control during gutting, skinning or butchering. Once the carcass is hanging in the larder, simply leave the spreader in place to allow air to circulate freely and cool the meat quickly. The stainless steel construction resists rust and wipes clean easily, making it well-suited to repeated use in wet field conditions or a busy larder. Light enough to drop in a pack without a second thought, it is a straightforward, reliable addition to any stalker's or gamekeeper's kit.
