The Laurin Metalli 95mm Stainless Carving Blade is a blade blank machined from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel — the same grade widely used in quality kitchen and hunting knives for its good corrosion resistance and ability to hold a functional working edge with minimal maintenance. Measuring 95mm in length, 19mm in depth, and 3.25mm in width, the profile is appropriate for carving and whittling knife builds. X50CrMoV15 (also referred to as 1.4116 to the German standard) is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel that offers easier care than carbon steel alternatives, making it a practical choice for knives that will see regular use in damp conditions or where maintenance access is limited. The blank is supplied unhandled, giving the knifemaker full control over handle material, scale geometry, and bevel grind. Suitable for carving knives, utility blades, and field knives where stainless performance is preferred.
