The Morakniv (Frosts) Straight Wide Boning Knife is a hardworking butcher and game-processing knife made in Mora, Sweden. Its 130 mm wide blade is ground from cold-rolled Swedish stainless steel and hardened by deep refrigeration to 58 HRC, giving it the edge retention and toughness demanded by heavy boning and filleting work. The semi-flex blade has enough give to follow the contours of a carcass cleanly without the blade wandering, making it well suited to separating meat from bone on deer, pork, lamb or fish. At 1.9 mm thick it is stiff enough for controlled cuts yet responsive enough to navigate joints and ribs. The black glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene handle provides a secure, non-slip grip in wet or greasy conditions — important when gralloching in the field or working through a stag. The handle is food-safe and easy to clean. With an overall length of approximately 269 mm, the knife balances well for extended use.
