The Trap Man Feral Cat Cage Trap is a UK-made, heavy-duty live-capture trap designed for the safe and humane catching of feral cats. Measuring approximately 31" x 11" x 10", it arrives fully assembled and ready to use. The trap operates on a treadle plate mechanism: the cat steps on the internal plate, releasing the spring-loaded front door which drops and locks shut via a spring-loaded locking bar. Once a cat is secured, an external release lever on the side of the trap lets you open the door from outside without coming into direct contact with the animal — useful when transferring to a carrier or taking the cat to a vet. A large top handle makes moving the set trap straightforward. The robust welded-wire construction resists bending even under sustained pressure from large tom cats. Weighing around 4 kg, it is light enough to carry to a remote baiting site yet solid enough to prevent escape. Suitable for land managers, pest controllers, and volunteers running Trap-Neuter-Return programmes. By UK law, a set trap must be visited at least once a day; Trap Man recommends checking at dusk and dawn.
