The Quake Long QD Stud is a quick-detach sling swivel stud for mounting a bipod or sling to a wooden rifle, shotgun or air gun stock. It's the long version of Quake's QD stud pair, with an 18mm wood screw thread that's typically fitted to the butt of the stock, while the shorter stud takes the forend. The stud screws into a pre-drilled pilot hole — drilling one first is important to stop the wood splitting on installation — and once fitted it accepts any standard quick-detach sling swivel or QD bipod adapter, letting you clip a sling or bipod on and off in seconds without tools. Built with a metal washer at the base for a solid, snag-free seat against the stock, it's a straightforward, no-fuss way to add QD capability to a gun that doesn't already have it. Genuine Quake quality, and studs can be trimmed or ground down slightly if your stock's wood depth is shallower than standard.
