The Caldwell Strap Plate Hanger Set is a pair of heavy-duty rubber straps that let you hang an AR500 steel target from any type of hanging stand, rather than a dedicated 2x4 or steel-specific bracket. The set includes two 12-inch straps together with four 1/2-inch carriage bolts and four 3/4-inch nuts, so everything needed to fix a Caldwell steel plate to the straps and the straps to a stand is in the box. The rubber construction absorbs some of the shock of a bullet strike, helping protect the mounting hardware and the stand from repeated impact compared with a rigid metal hanger, while still holding the plate securely in position for a swinging or static hang. It suits anyone running steel on a stand that is not built around Caldwell's own 2x4 fitting — home ranges, club days or portable stand setups where flexibility of mounting matters more than a single fixed bracket. As with all Caldwell AR500 steel, the target plates themselves are powder-coat finished and sold separately; this set is the strap and hardware only, for hanging an existing or separately-purchased plate.
