Knivegg's Allen Head Removable Rivets are a knife-maker's alternative to a conventional peened rivet, letting handle scales be fixed to a full-tang blade with fasteners that can be undone again rather than driven home for good. The set comprises six Allen cap head screws with a 6mm thread length, three threaded brass tubes (one 12.5mm and two 11mm long, all 6mm outside diameter) that the screws thread into from the reverse side of the handle, and a 21mm lanyard tube (6mm outside diameter, 5mm bore) for a wrist-lanyard hole. Because the screws thread into the brass tubes rather than being hammered flat, scales can be taken off again for cleaning, re-profiling or refitting without drilling out a spoiled rivet — handy on a stalking or gralloching knife that sees hard, wet use and the odd re-handle over its working life.
