The Lyalvale Express Super Game 42g is a heavy-load game cartridge built for driven days where birds are testing distances and height. Loaded in a true 70mm (2¾") case with a 42-gram charge of No.4 antimony-hardened lead shot, it delivers 1,375fps for the decisive energy needed on high pheasant, partridge and duck. Vectan single-base progressive powder — manufactured in Brittany, France — generates low recoil relative to the shot weight, keeping second-barrel recovery fast during a busy drive. The fibre wad version uses a 4mm waxed overpowder card that maintains optimum chamber pressure and promotes a clean, efficient burn without the environmental concerns of a plastic wad. Shot quality is controlled for antimony content, sphericity and surface finish, producing consistent, even patterns through any standard 12-bore choke. Suited to modern over-and-under, side-by-side and semi-automatic shotguns chambered for 2¾ inches.
