The Sportsmatch HTO71 is a two-piece extra high scope mount for 30mm tube scopes, built for 9.5-11.5mm dovetail rails as found on most air rifles and rimfires. Machined in Great Britain from aircraft-grade materials, each mount uses four-bolt top rings and two-bolt bases for a genuinely solid clamp on the scope tube and rail. The extra-high profile gives clearance for large objective lenses up to around 60mm diameter, and for bulky magazines on airguns such as FX models, while also letting you raise cheek and head position for a more natural eye line. A removable stop pin locates into the dovetail to prevent the mount creeping under recoil, and can be taken out where the rail doesn't need it. At 27mm from the base of the clamp to the underside of the scope tube, the HTO71 sits noticeably taller than Sportsmatch's medium and high options, so check your scope's objective diameter and rifle setup before ordering.
