Nosler's Ballistic Tip Lead Free Varmint bullet gives handloaders the same violent, explosive terminal performance as the standard Ballistic Tip Varmint range, but in a construction with no lead — ideal for shooting on ground where lead-free ammunition is required. This 0.224in diameter, 40-grain component bullet uses a metallic polymer tip that drives back into the thin copper jacket on impact, initiating rapid expansion and fragmentation for a fast, humane kill on foxes, rabbits and other small pests. The flat-base spitzer design keeps the bullet stable and accurate at the high velocities varmint shooters favour, while the heavy base resists deformation under the pressures of firing. Best performance comes at 1600 feet per second or above. Supplied 100 to the box, this is a reloading component only — it is not loaded ammunition and must be seated and fired using appropriate handloading equipment and load data.
