These Sierra Pro-Hunter .30 calibre (.308" diameter) 125 grain Hollow Point Flat Nose bullets are component projectiles for handloaders, supplied 100 to a box — this is not loaded ammunition. Developed with the .30-30 Winchester in mind, the flat nose profile is a safety requirement for rifles with tubular magazines, ensuring cartridges cannot set each other off under recoil. Sierra's Power Jacket design uses a series of skives cut into the mouth of the jacket to promote reliable expansion even at the moderate velocities typical of tubular-magazine cartridges, while the traditional flat base construction keeps accuracy consistent. A cannelure is provided for secure crimping. Sectional density is 0.188 with a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.119, and the jacket is designed to give good expansion, sound weight retention and deep penetration on deer-sized game at the shorter ranges these bullets are intended for. Uncoated, made in the USA, and built to Sierra's usual match-grade consistency for handloaders working up loads for the .30-30 and similar cartridges.
