SAKO's Gamehead .22-250 Remington 50-grain soft point is a fast, flat-shooting centrefire load well suited to fox control, predator shooting and small game where the .22-250's high velocity is an advantage. The spitzer-nosed bullet uses a light jacket over a non-bonded lead core that initiates rapid, wide expansion on impact, transferring energy efficiently even on lighter quarry. At 50 grains the bullet is at the lighter end of the .22-250 range, and its muzzle velocity of approximately 3,691 fps (1,125 m/s) makes it one of the quickest loads in the Gamehead line. SAKO manufactures both bullet and case at their Riihimäki, Finland facility, individually inspecting each component and controlling powder charges to the same standard they apply across their centrefire rifle ammunition. Brass cases are heat-treated for reloadability and long service life. Packed 20 rounds per box. A Section 1 Firearm Certificate is required to purchase this ammunition in the UK.
