Express .410 bore cartridges in the 65mm (2½-inch) case length, loaded with 14g of No.6 shot over a fibre wad. Developed by Express in 1995 specifically to meet the demands of .410 shooters, these cartridges use tempered shot hardened with additional alloys for tight, consistent patterns. The propellant charge is Vectan double-base flake powder, manufactured in France by the Nobel Sport Group to strict consistency and cleanliness standards; it burns at low chamber pressures, which suits the .410 bore well and delivers the uniform patterns that demand from this calibre. The fibre wad is an environmentally considerate choice for use over water or on shoots that restrict plastic. At 65mm, these fit the majority of modern .410 guns and most classic English side-by-side actions chambered for the 2½-inch shell. Sold in boxes, they are a practical game and rough-shooting load wherever the .410 is the gun of choice.
