The Harkila Heat Long Johns are a heated base layer built for cold-weather stalking, driven days and long spells in the high seat. Woven from 80% nylon and 20% elastane with a 100% polyester lining, they have a modern, snug fit that wicks moisture and dries quickly during hard walking. Three heating panels are sewn into the areas most prone to cold - the lower back and both knees - and can be set to 35C, 43C or 50C using a push button on the waistband. A waterproof USB cable runs from the waistband to connect to a power bank of your choice (not included), which can be tucked away in a trouser pocket; a 10,000mAh power bank will run the long johns at full 50C heat for around seven hours at 0C. The heating is self-regulating, dropping to standby once the target temperature is reached and switching back on as you cool, so warmth is maintained whether you're on the move or sitting still for hours. The heating membranes fold flat for storage and the garment is fully machine-washable, and it comes supplied with its own drybag for transport.
