The Saxnäs GTX is Härkila's leather hunting boot for trekking and stalking across rough mountain terrain, and this pair comes in the willow green colourway. The upper is nubuck leather, kept surprisingly light at around 740g per boot despite the solid, durable construction, and sits on a stiff Vibram sole that gives the support needed on uneven or rocky ground. A mid-height 18cm (7in) shaft and regular fit provide ankle stability without restricting movement on long days in the hills. Underneath the leather is a field-tested, waterproof GORE-TEX membrane — every boot has its membrane tested in a water bath during manufacture, with a further centrifuge spot-test on a sample of production, so wet feet shouldn't be a concern even in driving rain or wet bracken. The Saxnäs GTX is designed and manufactured in Europe to Härkila's usual standard, and like the rest of the brand's footwear range it carries a two-year warranty against material or manufacturing defects.
