The Jack Pyke Ashcombe Neoprene Wellington Boot is built for anyone who spends more time in the field than on the pavement. The top two-thirds of the boot is made from 5mm neoprene, with a separate 3mm neoprene lining inside for extra padding, warmth and full waterproof assurance around the calf, while a tough moulded rubber lower gives full protection against water, mud and rough ground. The high-grip rubber outsole carries generously sized, ridged lugs under the instep surrounded by chunky cleats, so footing stays sure on wet grass, boggy margins and uneven going. A matte finish on the rubber keeps shine to a minimum, a useful detail for stalking and wildfowling, and a removal lug at the heel makes getting the boots off after a long day straightforward. Standing around 15¾ inches from top to sole, the Ashcombe suits walking, hiking, fishing and general countryside use as well as shooting days.
