The Nosler Partition is the bullet that built the company, and it remains one of the most trusted big-game projectiles for handloaders. This 6.5mm (.264) 125-grain spitzer is a dual-core component bullet: a fully tapered jacket ruptures instantly at the thin mouth while a gradual thickening along the shank controls expansion, curling the jacket uniformly outward at both high and low impact velocities. Nosler's integral partition wall physically separates the two lead cores, so the front section mushrooms to deliver a wide wound channel while the rear core stays locked behind the partition, retaining more than half the bullet's original weight for deep penetration. A special crimp secures the rear core, adding resistance to deformation under the pressure generated by hot-loaded magnum rounds. With a sectional density of 0.256 and a ballistic coefficient of 0.449, this heavier 6.5mm option is well suited to handloads for larger deer species where extra weight retention counts. Supplied unprimed, 50 to a box, for handloaders building their own 6.5mm ammunition. This is not loaded ammunition.
