Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On is a water-based DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment designed specifically for breathable waterproof garments, including those made from Gore-Tex, Sympatex, eVent and Nikwax Analogy fabrics. Applied to a clean, damp garment, it deposits a flexible water-repellent coating onto individual fibres that sheds rain and prevents wetting-out, while keeping the breathable membrane working freely. Unlike heat-activated treatments, TX.Direct Spray-On develops its repellency on air drying, so there is no need to tumble dry — useful for older or more delicate jackets where heat could cause damage. The spray format lets you direct treatment exactly where it is needed most: elbows, shoulders and seams take the hardest wear and benefit from a heavier application, while internal wicking liners are left unaffected. The formula is fluorocarbon-free (PFC-free), non-flammable and contains no volatile organic compounds or aerosol propellants, making it a safer choice for regular use. One 300ml bottle is sufficient for several full-garment treatments and keeps field wear and shooting jackets performing in wet conditions.
