Nikwax Wax for Leather is a water-based waterproofing treatment formulated for smooth leather footwear. Its solvent-free, VOC-free formula adds water repellency and reduces water absorption while maintaining the natural breathability of the leather — keeping feet dry and comfortable without sealing the material shut. Unlike conventional solvented waxes, it will not over-soften the leather or compromise its structure, and it revives appearance, maintains suppleness and enhances shine. Crucially, it can be applied to wet or dry leather and takes effect immediately — there is no need to wait for boots to dry before heading out. Application is straightforward: use the supplied applicator sponge, a cloth, or simply your fingers to work the wax into the leather, then allow it to settle.
