Not dry

Let a lot of water in in a short but heavy rain storm!

Good trousers but the button would not stay done up

The trousers are very comfortable but I wrote direct to Bushwear as the button fastener on the waist band would not stay fastened so as I needed the trousers I sewed up the ‘too wide’ button hole rather than have to find a bigger button to sew on . This has done the trick but I was very disappointed that Bushwear didn’t reply to my personal email and when I followed it up with a phone call was just told I should have sent them back - the guy on the phone did not appreciate that I was trying to help them in case this is a manufacturing problem.

Ridge M trousers

Early days to say exactly how these will go, but at the moment:
- trousers fit well (I went from their C56 to their C54). The UK fit is accurate and seems to match other UK trousers fittings. I am 6'2" and 38" waist. Can Bushwear quote UK sizes as the Ridge M trousers themselves have a UK38R size tag on them?
- trousers seem bush-proof as I have gone through the woods with no jags or stings from nettles.
- trousers material appears absorbant - will need to see how they perform in a good downpour or clean after a good soaking in claret (as I can never seem to stay clean working with deer!).

Swede Team rucksack and clothing

I recently purchased the Swede Team rucksack (with the built in seat plus some items of clothing including a great pair of hunting trousers. I first came across Swedteam last time I was in the NW Highlands. A Land Manger friend of mine told me about it. It held up well for him in the unforgiving environment and I like to like to buy stuff that lasts. I bought the a jacket first and have been really impressed with it. Although it is incredibly warm you can unzip vents under the arms in warmer weather. The pockets are the only thing that let it down slightly. You can’t fit a mora knife in very easily. The garments are incredibly well made. The rucksack is fantastic! You can sit in reverse to unpack and pack the bag! The seat is very comfortable and doesn’t feel in the way when on your back. Plenty of room and storage compartments. The anti mosi and anti tic garments seem to work well so far too!
