The Bestard Rando Air Lady is a women's waterproof hiking shoe from the Spanish bootmaker's Travel range, built for long days on mixed ground without the weight of a full boot. The upper combines water-repellent Cordura® with synthetic rubber for a light, breathable construction, while a GORE-TEX® Surround lining keeps water out yet lets the shoe vent through the sole as well as the upper - noticeably cooler than a conventional waterproof shoe on a warm day. Underfoot, the Vibram® Vento outsole pairs with a Bestflex 1 super-flexible midsole and the Trail Tech 10 last for a natural, easy stride, and the Vibram Megagrip compound holds on wet rock, mud and loose ground alike. An extended lacing system runs further down the shoe than usual, so it can be tightened to suit a range of foot shapes for a genuinely secure fit. Versatile rather than purely technical, it suits hill walking, long-distance routes such as the Camino de Santiago, and travel or everyday wear equally well - a practical shoe for anyone on their feet outdoors for hours at a time.
