Hunter's Refined Tall Riding Boot takes the brand's classic wellington shape and pares it back into a sleeker, dressier silhouette. Cast in matte black FSC-certified natural rubber, it's fully waterproof from sole to knee, so it copes just as well with a wet stable yard or a muddy dog walk as it does with a downpour on the school run. The boot uses fewer rubber layers than Hunter's Original tall boot, which keeps it noticeably lighter on the foot, and the leg is cut with a slimmer, tailored fit and an asymmetric topline finished with a matte gold eyelet buckle for a smarter look than a standard rain boot. A textile lining and sock keep things comfortable against the foot, and a moulded rubber outsole gives dependable grip on wet grass, yard concrete and countryside paths. It's a pull-on boot with a fitted shaft, true to size — if you're between sizes, or have a wider foot or calf, it's worth sizing up.
