The A-Tec H3 is the latest generation of Norwegian-made rifle sound moderators in the Hertz series, succeeding the widely used H2. Designed exclusively for hunting rifles, the H3 features a modular architecture that allows it to be configured as a 1-, 2- or full 3-module unit, giving the stalker or deer manager flexibility to balance sound reduction against overall weight and barrel length added. The thread interface and diffusor are machined in stainless steel, with the expansion modules formed from aluminium, keeping the package as light as practical without sacrificing longevity. This variant is fitted with a 14x1 NS thread — a metric M14x1 pitch — commonly found on a range of European hunting rifles. Rated for .30 calibre (7.62mm class cartridges such as .308 Winchester and .30-06), the H3 also covers calibres from .224 up to .458, making it one of the more versatile moderators in its class. Sound moderators are Section 1 firearms in England, Wales and Scotland and require a valid FAC variation to purchase and possess.
