Part of Bisley's Heritage range, this dog collar is made from Latigo leather, double-tanned and polished by UK leatherworkers to a soft, supple finish in a warm chestnut hue. Size 3 fits neck sizes from 28cm to 36cm, making it suited to medium-sized dogs out working or walking regularly. The double-tanning process gives the leather durability and flexibility, so it moulds to the dog's neck with wear rather than staying stiff, while the polished surface sheds light dirt easily. Leather is a natural, porous material, so the collar should not be soaked; if it gets wet while a dog is working through cover or water, let it air-dry naturally rather than using direct heat, which can crack the leather. Some colour transfer from the natural dye is possible when the collar is wet — this is typical of Latigo leather rather than a fault. An annual application of leather conditioner will keep the collar supple and extend its working life.
