Parker-Hale Payne Galway Bronze Brush 12g
S4904
The Parker-Hale Payne Galway brush is a phosphor-bronze cleaning brush for 12-bore shotguns, built to shift the heavy fouling that collects in the chamber and forcing cone after a day on the clays or in the field. The Payne Galway pattern, named after Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey, is woollier and denser than a standard spiral bore brush, so it scrubs out baked-on powder and plastic-wad residue without distorting or compacting in use. The bronze filament is firm enough to bite into stubborn deposits yet softer than steel, so it works through the bore without scoring the barrel. It threads onto a Parker-Hale (English thread) cleaning rod, letting you run it the full length of the barrel and back through the chamber. For shotgunners who want their barrels properly clean rather than just wiped through, this is the brush that does the awkward work the mop and jag cannot. Use it with solvent, then follow up with a wool mop and clean patches to finish the job.
