Pair of Springer Spaniels captures two working spaniels together, a study that will be familiar to anyone who has run a brace over rough shooting or walked-up ground. It's part of Patina's range of field-sports sculptures, cast in cold cast bronze — resin bonded with genuine bronze powder and finished with a traditional chemical patina, so the piece takes on the look and weight of solid bronze at a more accessible price. Made entirely by hand in the UK, it measures 13cm high, 16cm wide and 11cm deep, a size that sits comfortably on a mantelpiece, sideboard or gun-room shelf. The pairing gives the piece more presence than a single-dog study, and it makes a genuinely fitting gift for a springer owner, a picker-up or anyone who shoots over spaniels. Being cold cast rather than solid foundry bronze, it's an indoor piece best kept out of the weather, with just a soft cloth needed to keep the patina looking its best.
