The Patina Bronze Sculpture Spaniel Sitting is a cold-cast bronze resin figure of a spaniel in a seated pose, made entirely by hand in the UK. Cold-cast bronze combines genuine bronze powder with resin to give the piece the appearance and weight of a solid bronze casting, while keeping it lighter and more affordable than a traditional foundry sculpture. At 15cm high, 12cm wide and 8cm deep, it is a compact piece intended for indoor display on a mantelpiece, windowsill, study desk or shelf rather than outdoor use. It forms part of the wider Patina bronze sculpture gift range, which covers a variety of gundog and field-sports subjects aimed at country-sports enthusiasts, making this an obvious choice as a gift for a spaniel owner, gundog handler or anyone with an affection for the breed. The seated posture and attentive expression give the figure real character, and as a handmade piece each casting carries small natural variations rather than machine-perfect uniformity. It is a simple decorative object needing no assembly, wiring or maintenance beyond an occasional wipe down, and suits a traditional country-style room.
