The Decoy Buck Trophy Plate is a wooden wall shield for displaying a prepared roe buck skull and antlers, finished in a rich dark wood and made from 100% FSC-certified oak. Measuring 19 x 12 cm, it is sized for a cut roe trophy and works well when the cut is taken through the eye socket; for a longer cut just above the top teeth you would want a larger shield. Once your boiled and cleaned skull cap is ready, the plate gives it a tidy, traditional home on the wall, letting the antlers stand proud against the dark grain. To mount, the fixing sits inside the brain cavity with the longer end running down towards the nose and the shorter section resting on the shield; you mark and drill the position, then tighten from the rear so the trophy is held securely and sits flush. It is a straightforward, good-looking way to record a roe stalk and keep a memorable buck on show in the gun room, hall or larder.
