The Crispi 42001 is the warmest sock in Crispi's range and the one to reach for when it is genuinely cold. It is a long boot sock, cut to sit well above the collar of a tall stalking or hunting boot, and it is knitted from 54% merino wool with 33% acrylic, 10% polyamide and 3% elastane. The merino does the work: it carries the warmth, and unlike a synthetic it keeps insulating even once the foot has become damp from sweat or a wet boot, which is what matters on a long cold sit. The acrylic and polyamide are there for hard wear, and the elastane holds the leg up without needing a garter. Cushioning runs through the foot and up the shin where a boot cuff bears. Crispi rate it for cold temperatures. Three sizes: S covers EU 36-39 (UK 3-5.5), M covers EU 40-43 (UK 6-9.5) and L covers EU 44-47 (UK 10-13).
