The Freyr & Devik UTS 281 sits in the middle of the Norwegian maker's Ultimate Silence range, built around a 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium core and baffle stack housed in an aerospace aluminium tube. Printing the baffles rather than machining them lets Freyr & Devik shape the gas path aerodynamically, which is how a moderator weighing only 281 grams returns a 35+ dB reduction — a figure normally associated with much larger, heavier cans. The telescoping design measures 210mm overall but adds just 154mm forward of the muzzle, so the rifle keeps its balance and handling on the hill. At 49.5mm in diameter it sits clear of stalking-weight barrels and most scope bells. Freyr & Devik cite the titanium baffle stack for its wear resistance as well as its light weight, and the UTS 281 is rated for standard and magnum cartridges up to and including .300 Win Mag.
