GANZO Firebird FB7651 Grey

The Chinese company Ganzo has released a new model – Firebird FB7651. The product was presented in the spring of 2019. The novelty is offered to customers in three colors – black, green, gray, all versions are exactly the same. The difference is only in the colour and material of the pads on the handles. The novelty blade length reaches 8.3 cm, the total length of the knife is 19.9 cm. The weight is just over a hundred grams. The thickness of the blade is 0.32 centimeters.

The blade of the product is made of 440C steel grade, the hardness of which is 58 units on the Rockwell scale. The steel is protected from corrosion and has several useful characteristics. It is one of the most popular steel grades, solid and very durable. Products made of such steel are of high quality. These models have good cutting properties, hold the original sharpening long enough without any additional care. The resistance to salt corrosion is another valuable quality of this material. Therefore, with a knife made of this steel, you can go outdoors without fear that high humidity will affect the product.

The handle of this model is formed by steel liners, a polymer spacer and pads made of composite material G10, which are fixed by steel screw-bolts of Torx. The design of the handle provides a removable clip made of steel, it can be installed in two positions. There is a large hole for the lanyard. The length of the handle is 11.6 centimeters.

G10 is a fiberglass fabric connected with epoxy resin. It is quite resistant to environmental influences. Resistant to impact, waterproof, easy to process and dye. Such features of the material make it an excellent choice for use in the production of practical and reliable knives. The blade could be removed from the knife using standard steel pegs and fixed with a proprietary lock called G-Lock. Axial bearings are responsible for the speed and smoothness of the removing.
